There have been quite a few additions and one or two changes
on the site since our last newsletter some of which I'll
outline here for you. Firstly I guess is the new layout. It
might not look too much different but you should find things
load a lot faster and the content is easier to
find.
This is a new and welcome (I hope!) addition to the site.
Bernadette and I have pooled our experiences and knowledge
to provide this service for our users. Between us we've
relocated quite a number of people to Turkey, held their
hands and guided them through some of the stickier
processes, it's now time for us to provide the whole deal
for those who need it. Further information is of course
available on the site.Locating property is another area
Berna and I have gained a lot of experience and envisage
this service being used by those too busy to be able to fly
out and view for themselves. Our reports will be
comprehensive as it's in your interests to know the bad as
well as the good. Most of us
know, seeing a villa on a website can be infinitely
different to seeing it for real and as most people only have
a week to view it's impossible to cover the ground you want,
ergo, use us (not often you'll hear me saying that!).
Karyn and Phil who've been there and done it, have added a
residential course for people looking to invest in property
abroad. If you've been considering it, this course will
outline the pitfalls and guide you on your way. More details
in the services section.
There's some terrific detached developments available in
Kusadasi, brought to you by Key Investments. As you can
contact the developers direct you can make yourself some
nice savings and now with a 3.6% leaseback per annum what
are you waiting for?
After a lot of requests and Google searches we've decided to
add a long term rentals section. Currently there are
properties in Kusadasi (you can even rent on a try before
you buy on these) and Ozdere, others will be added as they
come in. If you want to advertise your rental contact us.
The holidays section now has it's own holiday search
facility. When you search. results from
Virgin Holidays, Portland Holidays,
Thomas Cook, Cosmos, Direct Holidays, Airtours, Aspro,
Panorama, Manos and Escapades will show allowing
you to filter by prices, location etc and you can book
direct. It makes searching for the perfect holiday that much
easier when all offerings are shown in one place.
Well we could all do with some of
that. :) CFS are UK mortgage brokers and Mike has helped
people in the forums with financial matters from mortgages
to pensions. With the current state of mortgages in the UK
we're glad to have Mike and John on board to help you with
yours. Links in the services and money sections.
Talking about money, the beeb has
reported that sterling has hit an all time low against the
Euro. Although the pound hasn't hit it's all time against
the YTL it has sunk an awful lot with the current exchange
being 2.33 YTL to the pound. Good for those that bought at
2.75 but it is making property cited in sterling dearer.
Where the UK housing market is flagging and prices are
falling the same is not true for Turkey. You only need to
look through the Turkish classifieds to realise how much
property has increased here.
Another addition to Turkeyvilla is a shopping channel. I've
included this because we also get our own discount and
promotional codes. These are posted in the forum and can
save our readers some of their hard earned cash on a whole
gamut of goods.
As well as Aegean and XL we've now added British Airways and
Thomas Cook both of whom are quoting prices without mark ups
for taxes and extras and showing some pretty good deals for
2008.
I can't believe someone on another forum said they thought
cosmetic surgery in Turkey was scary! There's still this
notion about that Turkey is somehow backward with health
care, yet nothing could be further from the truth. Some of
the best eye laser surgeons operate from Turkey and
dentistry is second to none. If you don't want to take my
word for it read some of the posts on the matter. Not only
is the care excellent but the prices will have you flying
over on the next available plane! I was reading online about
the huge growth in cosmetic surgery in the UK and the
millions it will make in 2008, why spend it there at those
prices when it can be done here for a fraction and you get
to enjoy it in this environment?
Well, another newsletter completed, I can really gab
can't I? Answers on the back of a postage stamp please. :)
I really hope you still enjoy them and remember, we're
here to answer any questions you might have. For now I will
leave you with this thought............. Life is a one time
deal, take your cards and make the most of them, there's
never a reshuffle.
