Marmaris in Turkey is a bustling resort, possibly the most European of the Turkish resorts on the Aegean Coast. It´s built around a picturesque natural bay, at the foot of pine-covered mountain. The nearest airport is Dalaman which is 90km from Marmaris.

To the one side is the Old Quarter and Netsel Marina, there are many smart quayside restaurants, and bars, where you can spend a relaxing evening enjoying a meal and a drink watching the world go by.

Marmaris has three marina areas, Netsel, Albatross and Yalanci Bogaz, making it a sailing paradise. Along the harbour you will see all different types of boats ranging from Gullets which can be hired daily or weekly, to the day trip boats and water taxis which go to the neighbouring resorts of Icmeler and Turunc.

The old town is a maze of twisting narrow streets and alleys with small houses, in the Turkish style, there is also Marmaris Castle and the shopping bazaar with its many different shops, which will keep even the most dedicated shopper busy for hours.
On a Thursday there is a large open air market in Marmaris, be prepared to find plenty of bargains if you are prepared to haggle about the price.

The "Riviera" style palm lined long beach invites you to relax in the sun and enjoy many of the water sports that are available, from sailing, surfing, parasailing the choice is yours.
There is an abundance of bars and restaurnats in Marmaris, from the famous Bar Street in the Old sector, to all the bars and restaurants along the beach and the streets behind. There is something for everyone in Marmaris.
