Kusadasi

Situated on the west coast of Turkey- 90km
south of Izmir, Kusadasi is one of Turkey's principle holiday resorts
and one of the most attractive cities on the Aegean coast. It is
serviced by Izmir and Bodrum airports. Kusadasi has a
typical Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters,
providing a long tourist season. As the sun sets, the attractive
cafes and restaurants along the palm-lined boulevard get busier and many
just sit and watch the toing and froing of the yachts and ships while
enjoying a cool drink.
The town of Kusadasi offers a shoppers paradise
where bartering is the order of the day. It's also extremely well
located for visiting historical sites and places of natural beauty.
Ephesus and Pamukkale for instance.
The Greek Island of Samos is
close by (40 min Ferry), handy for renewing your tourist visas if
you want to stay beyond the 3 months allowed.
Kusadasi
has a number of beaches that are within walking distance or short Dolmus
ride from the centre of town. Many have little markets/shops and
eateries within a couple of mins walk. Market day in Kusadasi is
Wednesday for general market and Friday for fruit and veg
Guzelcamli

Home to one of Turkey's national treasures, the
Milli Park (National Park), where natural beauty abounds. The
wildlife is given priority over humans here where the park has to be
emptied by 8pm. As well as the flora and fauna the wildlife is
exceptional with wild boar coming down from the mountain to wander
amongst the tourists. You will get to see dolphins, whales,
tortoise, turtles, wild cat, wild horses, birds too numerous to
mention, beetles, dragonflies, insects of a multitude of varieties.
You can choose to walk through the park, drive, trek, cycle,
whatever takes your fancy. Have a picnic on one of the parks
beautiful beaches.
The village offers bars and restaurants open
all year round but don't expect to find any rowdy nightclubs here.
The usual tourist needs can be found, diving, gullet trips, fishing,
horse riding, jeep safaris and for those simply wanting to laze
about you have 17 miles of sandy beach for it.
Guzelcamli is notorious for it's clean air and
clean beaches. It has been the favoured resort of Turks who still
choose to spend their summers here.
Market day in Guzelcamli is Monday.
Altinkum and Didim

Set on a sandy bay, Altinkum is a purpose-built
resort with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. This is a place for
people who love the beach, and there are no fewer than four within
easy reach. The Main Beach in front of the resort is a long wide
stretch of golden sand, where you can bask in the sun, potter in a
pedalo or try out a range of water sports.
Altinkum combines the ingredients of a
fun-filled, beach holiday with a simple, unhurried atmosphere. It is
a charming informal resort and offers a superb beach, fascinating
ancient ruins, relaxed nightlife and watersports.
Remember, you can find a great deal of
information on the forums about the areas from people already living
there and holidaymakers.
